The ten start-ups to go through to the final stage of the Next Energy Call for Ideas have been selected
The initiative is supported by Terna, in collaboration with the Cariplo Foundation and Cariplo Factory, to promote young talent, innovators and start-ups and encourage the development of innovative projects in the energy sector, boosting employment.
Italian talent was “challenged” during the Selection Days to take part in the entrepreneurial acceleration and empowerment programme envisaged by Next Energy. After an initial phase of workshops and tutoring sessions, the day came to life with an intense pitch and Q&A session where the twelve start-ups presented their project in front of ten members of the judging panel, headed up by Catia Bastioli, Chairwoman of Terna. Momentum and interest stayed consistently high, thanks to the set-up which allowed five minutes for the presentation and another five minutes for the many follow-up questions for each project. At the end of the day, after lengthy deliberations, the jury announced the names of the ten start-ups who will progress to the three-month acceleration programme, thanks to Cariplo Factory and a network which includes the best incubators in Italy. This means that the selected start-ups can be guided in a more efficient manner by the organisation most suited to their technological innovation.
These are the selected start-ups:
1. Ambra Storage
4. Pronto Sisma
6. Site Assistant
8. Safety Cover
